Please seperate it by timezone -_-; Why does csl need to be separated by timezone? =O one for people in Eastern/Central time zone, another for Pacific/Mountain time zone. I think it's logical what problems this may solve.

All games are going to be at 7 PM EST this season. We are looking to make regional divisions next season, but for this season every game will be at 7 EST/ 6 CEN / 4 PST

I think people who have graduated and aren't taking classes shouldn't be allowed to participate. For example, Day would be ok since he's taking grad courses at USC, but nesh shouldn't since he already graduated and isn't taking courses at a school for credit.
Anyone else agree with me? Only current students. Alumni shouldn't be allowed.

I agree as well, although it's a bit more difficult to implement other than by self-reporting. Right now we're checking for school emails, but I think that even includes professors -_-
A lot of our rules can only stand by the honor code, either way, since we don't have anything like traveling judges to go on-site and make sure people are actually who they say they are. Hopefully people will stick by the rules.

And i'm so excited. I really hope that i can round up enough sc players at Indiana University to participate, even though we will get owned. ^^

Year/major? At IU I mean.
I think I might know some people who play at IU...
EDIT: Nevermind, saw you were in Kelley '12. We might have some mutual friends

We all agree that alumni shouldn't be allowed, and the rules don't allow them to play. The only alumni that would be playing are those who are being dishonest about who they are/when they graduated. The problem arises when alumni play under a different name, or they lie about their info or something. Since most of the league is operated online, we can't check for IDs or anything. The only way to do that would be if there were CSL reps physically at every game...
Also, this is only the All-Star Match with Season 1's best players. It's not an actual part of Season 2, so if Nesh graduated and stopped taking classes at Rutgers (or wherever), he won't be in Season 2.
uglymoose89, you should totally get some friends and join =P. If you don't take a few games and do get owned, then you can at least have fun and meet some other college SCers ^_^.

LOL THAT'S AWESOME
personally I made a poster with a zealot on it with the time/location of our meetings. We'll see on Tuesday how the turnout is!

I still do not like the whole idea of allowing a strong player play 2 games in the csl match. does not really represent the strength of the school, rather just the one player.

Unfortunate as this is, it's hard to balance large schools versus small schools - sometimes a school can barely scrape up 4 people, while larger schools have no trouble finding 8-12 players. It's possible we could look into making a rule about this, so we'll see what happens in the future.
