Hey, I decided to take a lesson from Inc about how to play Zerg (I've historically been a P player, but decided to learn Z some for fun). I figured I'd write here about my experiences.

The rate I paid was an introductory rate of 15 bucks for 2 hours--very reasonable in my opinion (in fact, I could easily see him justifiably charging more for it, but I guess he has a varied audience he has to price for). We met up on iCCup and used vent to communicate.

The basic structure was that we played games [in our case we played on Fighting Spirit since I didn't have a map preference] and then watched the replays and he discussed my play and how to improve (this was the default style--if I wanted to do something like ask about something or play a specific map or strategy, then I could do so, but since I didn't have any particular things I just went with the default).

Overall we played 5 games and looked at the replays in the 2 hours. I felt that he had a lot of suggestions to help me improve my Z (and also to an extent PvZ / TvZ by looking at what he was doing and from what he said). He provided very in-detail explanation of why he did what he did and the best courses of action.

One thing I particularly liked about it was that he acknowledged and accepted that neither of us are progaming monsters. We don't have flawless mechanics and reactions, nor will we. His advice allowed me to account for that and improve my play to a higher level without simply telling me to go practice hundreds of games to grind my macro/micro to be better.

Overall I'd solidly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their Zerg play. Yes, there are better foreigners out there, but his attention to detail and patience with the fact that I suck was very nice I'd say!

Was a great session Insane. You are a remarkable player and I enjoy doing a session with a cerebral person who enjoys the thought process of this game as much as I do.

Thanks for the kind words too!

I am glad to hear you liked it and benefited from it.. I was worried that my tired state would negatively impact our session. Before you I had done 4 2 hour sessions..

Loving what you do though makes it soooooo worth it haha

Well if you have any Q's I'm just watching SWL and can answer them easily. If you are tempted give in my child.. it has done nothing but make people happy! (That have done the lessons hehe)

I'm not paying for lessons from Inc unless he shows me how to play like Swayze taught Demi pottery in Ghost.

iNcontroL would you do like 5-10 games to get a grip of the "buying persons" play style and yet another 5-10 games to analyze and then finish up with 5-10 games to see if there is something left to improve while the "buying person" tries to impliment your tips into the "buyers" playstyle? For like $45 that would be an awesome package deal.

Do you realize how long it takes to play 30 games of starcraft? I'm pretty sure if this is the method you'd like to use, he'd be fine with it, but I wouldn't expect to pay anything outside his normal rate.

Lobbo you ask an excellent question:

Basically within the coaching you will find that kind of treatment anyways. Before we play I encourage you to play your best which includes style. Afterwards we cultivate the lesson around maximizing THAT play and the style. Typically in a session (depending on your race, mu preference etc etc) we get in around 5-6 games in 2 hours and sometimes more. With the replay discussion afterwards.

What you are asking for would take a lot longer but could be crafted for around 45$... it would just involve off the clock work like you sending reps, us playing and then you going off and implementing that play with perhaps time left for discussing how to improve that.
