It’s customary for people on this forum to write a cool blog when they reach certain milestones in terms of number of posts, and it’s customary for my posts to lean toward the shitposting end of the spectrum. Since I’m nothing if not a man who respects tradition but stumbles and falls when trying to adhere to it, this post will be no different and it will suck shit. I’ve just noticed I broke the 10k mark and it happens to be my birthday in Korea, yet I have nothing to say. Sorry. I still want to write this mostly because I want to do a few shoutouts at the end.
Here’s an underwhelming autobiography. I’ve been on TL for many years now, my formative years were spent writing garbage, a craft I mastered on World of Warcraft in the darkest years of my life. Dark not because they were hard, quite the contrary – I’m the definition of a spoiled brat. I say those years were dark because they made me a piece of shit. One of my first posts on TL included pictures of a Bible I vandalized in a hotel by opening beers off of it. I was that edgy atheist. Since then, I haven’t gotten much better, but any and all improvement in my despicable character are improvements I owe entirely to the great people on Team Liquid.
Of all the forums I frequent, this one has been the most conducive to personal growth and it has allowed me to meet a bunch of great people I still look up to today. TL has a lot of very smart, thoughtful and kind people who have made me a better person and I’ve probably learned more from people here than I have in all the years I’ve spent in University.
I want to give a shoutout to the following people in no particular order
• Riku who I cyberbullied on TL. I assume she’ll never see this and it’s great because I don’t want to address this. I was a dick to you and you didn’t deserve that. She has since crowdfunded a game and I wish her every success.
• Amazingxkcd who's a brilliant writer and community dudebro in the CSGO subforum and a cool guy.
• R1CH who’s an inspiration to the techie inside me.
• Luolis for being Finnish
• Steelavocado for the Diablo days
• DarkPlasmaBall you are awesome and I owe you a beer just because you exist
• Seeker for unreasonable mod action against me
• Wombat_NI for his foreign wisdom
• xDaunt for his alien form of intelligence
• Day9 for saying you shouldn’t be ashamed to be who you are
• NonY for being a baller
• Lee Young Ho, Lee Jae Dong and Kim Taek Yong for showing me true skill.
• And I forget many other amazing people I’ve laughed with and fought with on here. Cheers to all of you.
