Her pt.2

It is certainly is not unexpected. The only thing surprising about it is the timeframe of only two and a half months until the term "new relationship".
While I linger in pain, she apparently has already moved on.
I spent the night walking around the empty streets with a bottle of vodka... while she seems to be perfectly fine.
The main reason why I left her is that I thought that she deserves something better. But there was always the hope that I might become that something better.
Only yesterday, I had my hopes up, only to have them crushed completely today...

Stupid?
Maybe.

Infantile?
Probably...

But it is still fucking awfully painful...

Even if your goal is to win her back some day (probably bad idea), the worst thing you can do is obsess about her and trash yourself. You have to build yourself into someone you respect before setting your mind on her again. Don't define your worth by the whims and fancies of a single woman. There's a lyric from a Black Flag song that goes "You can't judge a book by looking at the cover/You can't judge a man by looking at his lover." Without self respect you cannot attract genuine love.

Well, I know it's the most common advice, but getting to know other girls and then getting involved with one helps... (whatever you consider with 'getting involved').
