DOx Blog #23: Mind of Reyder

We are officially 1 year old! I'm honestly proud to say that. I began DOx on a whim in June of 2012.

It all started with the this.


Essentially I was just spamming all the most used forums. I didn't know what I was doing but I knew i wanted to make an environment where players didn't have to be afraid of practice and everyone could hang out and get to know some awesome fellow SC2 players. AND here we are 1 year later.

It's been a pretty wild ride. At my current estimates DOx has cycled through over 100 players! Some staying for just a few weeks some being loyal and being with us since the beginning. Out of all our players I'd honestly say 80% of them received something beneficial from us which is another stat I'm proud of. We've have a great group of players and past present and future I'm humbled to be called their leader.

We have done alot this year. Aside from training an working with players we have been busy in other en devours.

Of course this blog has always been a staple of DOx. It's a place to clear my mind, introduce and appreciate some of our players and to announce anything going on.

Next would be our website. Before I talk about it Huge thanks to Xzar and Squids for designing and setting up the website. The guys really put alot hard work into it.They didn't use a template the designed it from scratch and spent many a night working on it.

the website shows our mission statement. A place where you register and access a forum to get advice on strats or sc2 in general. It has the links to all our other media links as well and finally it has our roster. The roster is unique because it'll have info about our players and a link to their full profile in this blog.

Last major thing is our YouTube channel
Here you'll find some DOx casts, some actual practice sessions, and the fun times we have when the team goes looking for trouble lol. I'll admit that there isn't a TON of content but there is plenty to keep you entertained for a few hours.

During this year we've also had clan wars, interclan practices, and even a community tournament!

It's always a good time to look back and appreciate all that's happen this year.

As of right now I'd call us in a rebuilding phase. Currently there is only 8 members ranging from bronze to plat. Throughout our time we have averaged about 15-20 at any given time. Truth is that at its current niche DOx can only sustain players plat and below. We've always been about improving the lower levels and many players just simply out grow us. That in itself is success in my mind. I've seen so many players go from bronze to diamond in a matter of months due to our practice environment. The current roster we have now will improve and perhaps move on themselves but DOx will continue to be around for anyone and any rank that seeks us out.

The future is bright. I have some great admins that taking the team to new levels everyday. We are still recruiting and having practices. In time we will continue to upload videos to our youtube channel and perhaps have more community tournaments. The website is on the back burner right now but our Facebook is getting new content daily.
