Maybe they've been watching too much hentai or something lol. Honestly I don't think there are too many particularly insulting words. And yeah most of them will just make you sound like an angry anime character hahaha.

In Japanese, it's more about the verb conjugation that makes a sentence sound rude (in English, it'd be equivalent of using derogatory words and condescending tones) rather than explicit 'bad' words.

Imagine if a tourist came up to you and said fuck you bitch. Haha. Ha. Really funny, right? You might think it's all right to use with just friends, but it'll end up slipping in public, and you'll regret it. Really? You telling me that it is impossible for someone to control when they use curse words or not? I swear in different languages depending on the group I'm with. Korean friends I swear in Korean, Western friends in English. He wants to use Japanese swears to someone who is swearing in Korean....why not teach him a few. The first words people learn in another language tend to be the bad ones as they're amusing and sink in easier. For example Gye-sek-i-ya is son of a bitch in Korean....I learnt that within 8 hours of being in Korea...why do I remember it easier than say the korean word for jump? Because it's amusing to me to know things like this...also helps deal with general assholes. As for Japanese swears, http://chromlea.com/japanese/insults.html it's always best to check google. My favorite korean curse is this one imi shimi pet pojida = your mother has a bald pussy Never used...but such a funny insult to find lurking swear word lists.

"brother" is a great movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0222851/ edit: mizu above me is completely correct. but i am only imparting knowledge. if you want to use that knowledge like a retard thats your prerogative. =D wow japanese really are the nicest people on earth if those are the meanest things you could say to a person^^ i mean for example you come home and find your girlfriend in bed with some guy so you say:"YOU!! (omae)" as opposed to like "you fucking cocksucker!!" haha ... also i thought okama was just crossdresser and not gay
