OP I think you must realize that, displayed in the above posts, girls aren't thought of more than just spokespeople in the gaming world for now. However, I do wish you luck in your future endeavors!

I just think that for females to have a real place in E-Sports they need a real tournament infrastructure beforehand. You don't build a house by starting with the roof. I think girls should perform first, gain audience, join teams, ???, profit for everyone!!! Because right now they just join teams because they are cute and then they just don't even play a tournament game. Like she said though, it's hard to keep improving without a team. So yeah, it's up to the teams to take their contractees seriously and properly invest in training them. Should be regardless of gender of course but it'd be nice if a team would seriously invest in training some female gamers. Hopefully this is what eSahara is doing, right?

Climb the ladder (not meant literally). Ladder/Replays/Forums. Then groups of friends. Customs Clans Bigger Clans Competitive Clans Sponsored Teams etc. Jumping the line from laddering/Replays/Forums/Friends to Sponsored Team because of your gender is a bit silly.

User was warned for this post This is a fair question... most sc2 girls on pro teams are fairly attractive.... maybe girls get +10 to sexy when they play decently high levels of sc2?

Do i think that these females deserve it? well thats not my judgement call. I do however think that skill is the most important thing but like i said before, the teams aren't recruiting women for skill. Its for exposure. Marketing is fine, probably a similar reason why Quantic picked up Destiny, for entertainment value. But tbh i haven't seen all that much marketing from females from teams, aside from the pick-up onto the team.

I'm pretty sure the entire point is that those teams only pick up female players that will add good publicity (aka are decent looking).
