Kotyonok United States14 Posts October 22 2011 23:14 GMT #1 Damn it Starcraft... I've been watching you. I'm getting so jealous of the people that get to play with you every day. It's almost like you're perfect for them. My friends always tell me "If you just get more persistent you'll get better...", but they don't seem to see the anxiety I deal with. It's not you though, it's me. Everything just seems to move so fast all the time and I can't keep up. After a session I'm left confused, frustrated and exhausted. The memory of the last match keeps me coming back though. I'm sorry I've gotten distracted by life and I know you'll understand. I just hope that we can work this out. <3

As you said, for some people it's perfect, but for others, in turn, it might just not be the right type of game. If your anxiety still has the upperhand after months of playing, you still are not able to adjust to the game's demands, why force yourself? bw/sc2 are great games, but not for everybody. If playing only means confusion, frustration and exhaustion for you, why continue when you could find something you might enjoy more? The decision to quit may seem hard now, but you will thank yourself later. The energy and time we have for ourselves are precious, we shouldn't squander them on things we don't like doing. Just my rusty 2 cents.

Kotyonok United States14 Posts October 22 2011 23:48 GMT #4 For clarity, I did mean SC2, and I banned LoneWolf because he was being a complete troll. @Harrad In all honesty my anxiety isn't all that bad anymore and I've made some progress. I just don't feel I'll ever be at the level I really want. This post was more as a half joke in all honesty. I've learned to really enjoy the game lately. I enjoy doing crazy things and don't mind when I lose really badly anymore. 1v1 however, now that's still tough on my nerves.
