Hello TL.net!
I don't play that much these days. As a matter of fact I just came back from a pretty long break few weeks back. Now i've ladder something like a little bit over 110 games. To my surprise i've done quite well. Maintained a 60% winratio and hit 1500 masters on the US ladder ( Still have a bit BP to spend). Anyway all this is irrelevant, I dont know whether im surprised or just wanna share my joy with you guys. I just played a 13 minute game with EGIdrA on XNC. I was cold sweating whole game and was really nervous.
It was really one-sided and the skill difference was pretty huge haha. Regardless was a fun experience.
Hopefully next time i'll be able to give him a run for his money. Now I feel really motivated to practice and play more games. I don't know if I should upload the replay as I got raped pretty hard (Not a very interesting game in other words).
ps. How do you play PvZ on XNC, because i'm totally garbage on XNC T_T

I think every protoss is garbage on XNC  , idra says 2 base immortal all in is IMBA so try tht

Against IdrA, I believe the correct strategy on any map is the fastest all-in you know. Even if I didn't suck at the game, I wouldn't want to play a macro game vs him, and we all know the vast majority of his big losses are due to quick all-ins.

The other day I hit LiquidRet while he was laddering before IPL 3, and I got crushed so hard.
First pro I've ever played and it was obvious he was pro.
I can't wait to do it again, playing pros is awesome even when being stomped.

Sounds cool! I remember watching a few replays of my high-masters friend playing against some pros. The difference between a very very good casual player and a tournament-winning pro is amazing.

Agreed. When IdrA is on his game, you HAVE to harass the hell out of him CREATIVELY. He makes use of Zerg's ability to macro so well that he's nearly impossible to keep up with (for all but the top pros).

honestly, if you hit idra on ladder, you'll need to ask someone better than him how to beat him ^_^ most people in the thread won't be able to help T_T

Awesome! Have you considered asking IdrA? Maybe you should if you get him again. After all, IdrA is his own worst enemy.

I'm far worse. I just gave generic advice based on what I see causing the majority of his tournament losses.

With the way idra is playing at the moment, not many people know how to beat idra =/

If I would have to play Idra on the ladder, I would try to make it into a macro game just to gain some experience... More GG, more skills!

I'm sure the problem is not that they don't know how to beat him, but that he's superior in all the aspects of the game that would be needed for you to beat him :p!

I remember when I managed to get a game vs Idra back in the BW days. It was so awesome. ^__^ I was a big fan of him, got really nervous and managed to roll over and die to his first attack (he went Fac Port while I went Fac FE), but I enjoyed it anyway. XD

There's a bw rep you can find where idra taps out saying "grats, you won without doing a single thing". You could try that.
