A fine good morning to all you beautiful TL folks.
I've been casting some games (and then having a good laugh over them) but have yet to get them up on youtube as my files are too big. At least I think thats the problem. I'm also working on some VNC shenanigans that will smooth out the whole compiling/compression process.
Maybe you guys will know whats going on. I started an upload at about 4 one evening. Two days later, it was finished uploading but was still "processing". I'll be the first to admit I know next to nothing about all this stuff, but thats stupid slow.
I think I need to make the files smaller. At any rate, some research is needed. I'll post as soon as I have some up.
Away to Google I go!

How big is the file? What are you using to record? Sounds like you have raw video and not encoded thus giving it a massive size. Encode it with xvid or something to get the size down; I use Virtual Dub. I don't think any of my VOD's went bigger then 200mb back when I recorded locally.

I used vDub to connect all the smaller videos that fraps kicked out but I am guessing that did not encode as well. Is there a separate function for doing that? Or maybe a setting I'm missing?

Its been a loooong time but uhh Video > Compession > DivX
Quality = 8 1 Pass @ 3000 kbps
I think thats all you need to do .

The file I was attempting to upload was 960mb which might have had something to do with it.
I'll give that a shot, thanks.
