STOP IT
Stop plaguing Team Liquid with your spoiler threads. For some pointless reason, people continue spoiling games for those of us who can't watch finals when they happen. I can't visit team liquid the day of, the day after, or any day past that until I have watched the finals.
why?
The analysis threads, balance whines, and bullshit pop up after every tournament. They are all exactly the same thing: Spoilers.
You may be asking yourselves: "Why do you open those threads BearG? You bring it on yourself! Stop whining about threads you shouldn't open!" This is true. I shouldn't and I don't open those threads, but the titles of the threads have already spoiled the results for me. I am praying that this problem will end before the next finals of any major tournament. It's not going to happen though. Hipsters sitting in free wi-fi hotspots drinking lattes will continue to type up posts they think are "good" analysis on game balance. Pack up your fucking apple computer and stay off the internet for a week.
The mods on TL are fantastic. They will change titles and add spoiler tags. I would ask you to keep up the great work, but I would rather resolve the problem than let it continue. The same people who have ruined results for me will probably not even see this thread. Future spoilers will probably not even see this thread. That is why I've decided to take extreme measures. If you inadvertently spoil the final results of any major tournament in the title of your thread, then expect the following outside your doorstep the next morning.
+ Show Spoiler +
I don't need to go to team liquid everyday, but its an enjoyable way to waste 5 minutes. So please give me one week. That is all I ask. If I haven't watched the finals by the following week, then it is on me. Afterwards, you can post your little heart out.

rather than forcing people not to talk about important results for days or even a week (lol), why not just stay off TL until you watch the games yourself? isn't that a much easier solution for all of us?
jesus christ.

The better the match, the worse the pain is. And believe me I feel your pain. Hopefully something can be arranged though to prevent too much of this in the future.

spoilers are gonna happen by accident a lot of times...^^ just don't browse TL or SC related stuff if you don't want spoilers !

For the record, this post is exactly what I want. Continue discussing the results. I just have a problem with the hour long threads with a title that tells everyone how the games were won.

One thing that kinda spoiled the GSL finals results was
+ Show Spoiler +all the FF threads because of the fact that they pretty much made MC win.
Anyways it's interesting to discuss these things when they've just been displayed in a high level game. As long as they don't say the result out loud but discuss things about the the match indirectly it is fine by me. If you're so freaked out of the spoilers that just regular threads give you. Just do as fush says and stay of TL untill you've watched the games.

TL is basically a community news site though ( among other wonderful things). One week "delay" in discussing things that affect the finals is unlikely to happen. The momentum will be lost by then because things move on so fast in the sc2 world nowadays.
Like in 1 week, who will care about MC vs July when we would have had TSL 3 results + upcoming MLG dallas.

if something is ACTUALLY being spoiled then i agree with you
however if they're following the proper procedures and including unbiased thread titles along with spoiler warnings in the title, and/or properly labeled spoiler tags in their posts, then i think it's fine

The tl;dr aspect still spoiled it as if you didn't expect that based on the title thread, right? what was the thought process exactly, "hmm that title says there's going to be GSL spoilers, i think i'll click *5 sec later* WTF SPOILERS"
@OP personally i think a week is too much. a day, sure. and even then, indirect spoiler threads+ Show Spoiler + (like the influx of FF threads) would be hard to pinpoint down as spoilers anyway just stay off TL if you haven't watched the matches or ignore the sc2 section. i think it's a little selfish of you to deny thousands of people discussing the games just so a comparative few can browse in blissful ignorance. this is an sc2 community website, i think game discussion is part of that ^-^

What I think the OP is talking about, is if there's a big ZvP final, and the next day, the forums are filled with "BANELINGS ARE OP" "Regarding X's baneling use" "How to counter banelings???" "Banelings <Tournament spoiler!>" etc, it kinda spoils who won, and in what way.

God yes pls. stupid SAT class made me miss TSL day1 and i had it spoiled by millions of people while i waited for vods . Even when you don't click into a TSL thread people spoil

Spoilers are a bitch. I had the GSL finals spoiled for me twice yesterday and 4 times today (all 4 times today in the past hour too...damn LR threads :\). I also had TSL spoiled for me (I didn't get to watch most of it) yesterday, though that wasn't in any thread.
