Who cares if they are making money off youtube, it's not like a penny of it is ours. It doesn't effect anyone in the community in the slightest, in they are exposing sc2 to many new faces which in turn helps out the community. Though I will say I cringe a little when listening to HD's commentaries, he rarely knows what is going on in the game. Example, most recent idra vs drewbie video, he was like "wtf corruptors are out, how useless." | ||

Topic 1: Husky No, Husky is not very good at sc2. yes, Husky is good at making money off sc2. My opinion, the latter is better... Yea he posts 10 min videos to make more money off youtube advertisements and such... SO? Wouldn't you do the same thing if you had the option? Of course you would, B U T I can't sit through an entire rant.. Sorry, just cant do it. Its not THAT fun. I hope this thread doesn't get closed so if one day in the future you do become a partner I can link you to this and call you a Hippocratic for only posting 35 consecutive 15 second videos. Combat-ex was a C/C+ player who had decent mechanics. Anyway, as for Husky/HD's videos, I don't have any problems with them making money off of youtube partnerships or even asking for paypal donations. Obviously it's a bit sketch that they break up replays to get four times the views, but honestly, lots of people do it. And if people are willing to donate to them, then that's their own prerogative. It just sounds like lots of people are envious of all the money they're making for something they could've done themselves but didn't have the drive to pursue. That being said, I don't particularly like the content of their videos, mainly since the analysis is surface level at best and simply factually inaccurate at worst. But whatever, I just won't watch them. | ||

That won't happen. And there's nothing wrong with it. If you get 25k odd dollars for doing this shit, I dare you to say "hey i dont want the money please keep it".
