Firstly, congratulations to Flash! Not only is it his first Bo5 win vs Jaedong, but it's also his first MSL title. It seems crazy that he's gone so long without winning MSL, but better late than never.

In many ways I feel this final was the spiritual sequel to the GOMTVS1 league where Flash was 3-0'ed by Jaedong. I think the similarities are uncanny.

1) Coming into the series JD had just lost to ForGG and Flash was considered the favorite... this is the opposite of this finals, where Flash had just lost to Effort and JD was considered the favorite.

2) Flash's build of choice was the same in both series... 14CC. First FTL and then FTW. I find it funny that a bunch of people are crying about 14CC imba when this is the exact same build Jaedong crushed mercilessly in GOMTVS1

3) Both series were 3-0.
-------------------------------
As a Flash fan who still takes that silver to heart I'm glad he eventually got to take his revenge for that beatdown.

This MSL win gives me a lot of hope for Flash's future in the upcoming OSL, MSL and PL. I think he is a favorite to dual final again short of running into a pissed off Jaedong in a Bo5; and that with Stats and ForGG (and hopefully Violet/Hoejja) preforming he can lead KTR to victory in PL.

All and all, Flash fighting! You deserved it man. Way to get over the hump.

Assuming blizzard will even allow another set of Star leagues I doubt he will ever make dual golds. I am a huge flash fanboy but he has dominated mercilessly for almost a year now, the rest of the field _has_ to catch up sometime? Don't they?

... do they?
The probability of Kim Carrier getting all those predictions wrong is similar to the probability Flash loses a TvT. Kim Carrier MUST BE a genius. His only big mistake... STORK.

Yes, FINALLY.

The scenario which Flash made it to both finals just to lose both 2 is heart-breaking. Victory must be his today.

Go and create your own era Flash.

It's funny, he's 17, and you use "better late than never". But it's true in a way, he's been around forever...

Flash was due. He had tons of practice and reason to win considering he just played effort in OSL final.
..and then I would, ya know, check em'. (Aka SpoR)

I just came to the realization that Flash was literally 1 win away from being crowned Bonjwa. If only he won OSL too...

Although I like both players equally, I'm so glad that Flash won. Actually, I completely expect there to be another Flash vs Jaedong MSL final with a Jaedong win. And then there will be another Flash vs Jaedong final but this time with a Flash win. They will go on trading wins and loses until the end of Starcraft and/or time.
this is my quote.

It seems like the "underdog mentality" can be / has been really strong as of late. We have an odd mix of moments when players like flash and jd look unstoppable and then moments when they lose games that it seems they should've won (note: I'm not saying either player is/was/has been slumping, they're both playing the best bw in the world by far).

I don't want to say this precludes the possibility of a new b-word in the future, but it certainly works against that possibility.
