I'm in the process of redesigning one of my sites (a back-end redesign will come after the front-end), Cache, which can be seen here (old/current design):

And I thought it'd be fun to take you all along for the ride, and ask for your input (comments/critique) on it. So below, from newest revisions to oldest, is the progress.

What's the content of it? I don't care how good the "design" of a site is, if it doesn't have content, it's shit.

It's a simple file-sharing website, nothing extraordinary, just another service, but specifically for StarCraft players.

I feel like theres way too much wasted space, unless the bottom of the boxes gets dragged down if there is too much information to fit in that space. My monitor is 1920x1080, this site would barely take up half the visual real estate in my browser as is.

So, in summary, I do like the graphics, but I feel like you could be more efficient with layout and space management.

I know what you mean and am fully aware. In the mock-up screenshots above, so far, I haven't really put in any filler content to extend the design to the bottom more. I'll do that in a bit though.

I kinda thought the same as well. Oh well, I like the overall design, I just feel like it's really dark. I feel like I'm going to become depressed from staring at it too long. Other than that, are you coding the filesharing yourself?

Thanks. Hopefully, when it's done, it'll be simple enough that people will want to use it without me expecting them to spend a lot of time on it and suffer from depression.

And yes I'm coding the file-sharing part myself. The current site already has it, but it's a very primitive version (that I programmed over a year ago). The new version will have user accounts, folders/organizing, and other features expected of a typical file-sharing website.

By the way, uploaded a 6th revision and edited my original post.
