There's nothing wrong with losing some weight to look good in front of your old friends and feel better about yourself. A lot of obese people use the excuse of "I don't care how others perceive me" to live unhealthy lifestyles.

uh no, they live that unhealthy lifestyle because they are depressed and have low self esteem

Second reason is simply that girls can't gain strengh, but they can get good stamina.

Good luck and remember the best workout is the one that gets done. Simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walk to things instead of driving and so on means a ton to your average foe in todays society.

Running without strength building is one of the fastest ways to lose muscle, which is especially dangerous in the legs (not just unsightly, but bad for knees/hips.) I've lost a good amount of weight (around ~18 pounds) in around 2-3 months just by eating less with exercising twice a week, which is not even a lot.

If you are really serious about this you could probably lose like 35 pounds in 10 weeks.

Just drop everything thats sweet with alot of sugar and fat, Like chips and candy. Replace it with fruits and veggies you like. Do your normal daily stuff and add another 2-3 workout days a week and you will be down in no time.

OK guys the thing about eating 5 times a day is bullshit though. It doesn't hurt your blood sugar levels and mood, but it won't help you loose weight faster.

It's all about calories- in and out.

Yep but that's all indirect regarding to weight loss. It doesn't help you burn more fat from eating at more occasions.

Anyways, I usually eat breakfast, then some before my workout and the most of my total calorie intake afterwards; like 1000-2000 kcal. I do just fine, and I throw in protein shakes here and there during the day

Everyone's an expert on weight loss, especially fat people. Just ask em and they'll tell you how to lose weight.

But since I'm also a self-proclaimed pompous know-it-all...

eat like a caveman
lower the carbs
drop the grains
listen to VictorW on page 3
saturated fat is good for you so eat it
load up on natural sources of fat and protein
get your carbs from fuits, vegs, nuts, and seeds
probably 80% of your body composition is due to diet
lift some weights
aerobic exercise helps, but not as much as you think
intermittent fasting
5-6 meals a day is unnecessary bullshit and only applies if your body is on the glucose-dependent insulin roller coaster.

Also lilsusie is pretty good lookin. GL

eating 5 times a day is the hardest thing for me to do. I sit in front of a computer all day. It blows. and when it gets busy, it's hard to find food to eat, it's easier to starve all day and eat at night. bleh.

it's ok, i've already taken the initiative. we'll see how I look and feel at the end of 3 months.
