mech build now standard?

wasn't sure if it belong in this section or the strat.

Its a fact that mech build used nowadays are very good against zerg. What I would like to know is... is mech build good enough to be considered standard build? or is it too early to say that?

There are certain maps where mech is very strong and useful and others where it is not. Generally closer rush distances, less maneuvering space (to hamper zerg mobility), and narrow choke points (like destination's bridges) will favor mech. However, it seems that maps like Harmony, Chupung and RotK (for OSL) still favor bio over mech.

Mech is a very strong BO, but I think terran progamers are rightfully being very careful about how they use it. It will never become THE standard, but yes, it has become a standard alongside bio.

mech is still not perfect right now, timing > mech always. once mech is perfected, maybe then...

It's a bit off, but i would like to ask if anybody knows that the strategy used by Leta against Lux on destination (proxy fact, 1 vult, machine shop, tank siege from behind of the natural expo and wraiths) was used recently by other progamers? Cuz 1 met this 2 days ago on iccup, and dont remember seeing it befor, and to me its quite wierd to see a well tought strat on iccup which wasnt used by pros befor. So, can someone help me out?

If you play 2v2 at and beyond the D+ level, mech and drop terrans become SO plentiful, especially at Korean hours.

Its so gay and hard to get used to.
