MSG FOR STARCRAFT II GSE OPEN PARTICIPANTS
IF YOU CANNOT PLAY SATURDAY – AND CURRENTLY REGISTERED PLEASE NOTIFY ME NOW
The time has finally come...
Welcome to the GSE OPEN #1! Who will be crowned the first ever GSE Champion?
We hope all of you have read the rules and tournament format (http://greenstreetelite.ca/gseopen1). Remember that the winners of each match must report the results to an admin. You will find out your designated admin after check-in. Remember this is an ALL DAY event. There is 128 players battling it out, so please be patient with the admins and players.
This event will be streamed live on www.justin.tv/alokin1 all day. Some of the Top16 games and the Final 8 will be featured on Teamliquid.net and will begin at 17:00 PDT regardless if the earlier rounds are finished sooner (This will give you time to practice, eat dinner, rest and so on).
We hope all participants join us live on their downtime!
The matches will be played continually until the Top16. So please be ready to play at any time after your game. Please be patient with your next opponent(s) if they’re currently finishing their game in the earlier rounds. DO NOT spam them saying “I’m ready! I’m ready where are you?!”.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPORT THE RESULTS ASAP. This way we can all move along ASAP, and know who has finished their games and begin the next one. If you do not know who your next opponent is, please check the brackets. If you sit in a bracket by yourself, it means your opponent has not yet finished their game. To get things done faster it would be beneficial if the player that entered the next bracket notifies the “waiting” player. (EG. Player A finishes a game earlier and waits in a bracket alone in Round 2. Player B finishes his game later and sees that he plays Player A next round. Player B should notify Player A that he/she is finished and ready).
If you wish to have your game streamed in the earlier rounds please notify me ASAP and we will try our best to accommodate you.
WE strongly encourage all participants to join the BNet Channel “GSE” prior to their games. It will make it easier to find eachother and have some friendly discussion.
If you win and are expecting money, PLEASE ensure you have a Paypal account. You will not be able to receive your winnings otherwise.
The 128 player brackets will be released by Friday night (we expect to have a full 128 registrants by this time). If we don’t fill up the registration will close sometime Saturday morning 02:00am – 03:00am and the early registrants will benefit by receiving a BYE in the first round. Also, the brackets will be completely randomized.
Check-in will officially open @ 11:00 PDT and the tournament will start sometime between 12:00 PDT and 12:30 PDT. Please check the website for check-in procedures Saturday.
Any questions please feel free to message me.
