Yes, this is an sanctioned event by blizzard, since it carries WCS points, but I doubt that blizzard required an invitation of Flash. (not that I mind seeing him) MLG, ESL and DH have a partnership, so it could matter.

Should be a hell of a tourney, and one to watch for the WCS points.

We have the highest ranked WCS players who applied to come. We spoke to many players who we thought would come and many rejected for various reasons, some don't need the points, some couldn't afford, some want to focus on WCS and some just didn't want to go to New York.

(not that I mind seeing him) It is more likely in that context that some korean master mind organization took over the flight cost and such. It really looks to me as that its still centralized decision who of the licensed players they send to overseas events.

It really looks to me as that its still centralized decision who of the licensed players they send to overseas events. An "anonymus korean mastermind organisation" probably decided, that he is going and for example SK not. But they have no control an the IEM invitation system (At least I hope so) and IEM does not cover flight costs and stuff for wildcards anyway, only for qualifiers (which makes sence from my point of view). I should be able to learn it, since he does´nt play EPS, but somehow I always forget.
