I doubt this is the end of the soap opera that is Major's sc2 foreign scene antics, but I hope it's a very long and prosperous break in them. Congrats Major, and congrats team 8

BaBy and Jaehoon are better than him, maybe Speed too. I don't think MajOr can replace BaBy as the ace of T8.

I feel kinda embarrassed that somebody like him will representing all of the foreigners for us. He is known for his sour attitude and flakiness. Also I cannot remember the last time he was a highlight in a premier tournament either. Then yet again the good foreigners like a Naniwa or a Staphano are already signed. So with that kind of thinking there is not much to pick from. Although it is good that Kespa is now opening its doors to the rest of the world. I think this might be a PR play rather than accepting actual talent.

please find real facts instead of this ok?

Sure thing I do not mind finding the real facts. This is what he accomplished in at least Two Years of playing professionally which is a very long time. Not to mention the sheer amount of Dreamhacks,MLGs,Blizzard Cups,Homestory,Intel Extreme Masters and other premier tournaments that have taken place in Two Years time. I am not including the beta in which has had its own tournaments as well.
In the two years that SC2 has been out here is what he accomplished as per liquidpedia.

2011:

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/leagues/1353_VT_Open_6
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/leagues/1422_VT_Open_7
http://sc2na.zotac-cup.com/en/cups/105-zotac-starcraft-ii-na-cup-11

2012:
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/TeamLiquid_StarLeague_4/Qualifiers/EU\NA_6_(NA_Server)
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/TeamLiquid_StarLeague_4/Qualifiers/EU\NA_10_(NA_Server)

These tournaments did not have anybody of note at the current time playing in them. Maybe Fenix but that is all who stand out to me. Also for the StarLeague he faced some medicore players as well and in Qualifier #6 all he had to face is Welmu in which he lost. Qualifier #10 was a joke as all he had to play was Lucifron,Vibe,Fraer.

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/leagues/1474_WWG_Open

Only player in that pool that was doing well at the time was ThorZain.

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_StarCraft_II_World_Championship_Series/North_America/Nationals/Mexico

Mexico Nationals outside of Major and Killer who else is really recognized from that side of the world?

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2012_StarCraft_II_World_Championship_Series/North_America/Finals

Now this is the only tournament that I will say he did play well in this.

Maybe he was asking for facts about:

He is known for his sour attitude and flakiness :-D

Because about tournments its obvious his lack of recent good results.

From (Wiki)MajOr's Liquipedia page:

Show nested quote +

The well-known commentator Artosis stated that he was the next foreign player in line to move to Korea just before the release of StarCraft II. Being part of the GoSI clan, as, for example, the Woongjin Stars A-teamer Flying and playing in tryout matches against eSTRO-players confirm this impression. However, he was also known for frequently switching teams and said to suffer from a lack of respect and bad manner.

[...]

His potential was quickly realized and he was picked up by the team ROOT Gaming. However, due to disputes purportedly surrounding funding and maturity, he and ROOT Gaming parted ways after a period of roughly two months.

[...]

He was caught using another player's account to compete in Dox's SEA tournament, which was restricted only to those with SEA citizenship. MajOr used the account of an SEA diamond-level player named "sayfT", but this aroused the suspicions of mOOnGlaDe who was casting his tournament matches -- noticing the Terran's unusually high-level play that was above and beyond the supposed diamond level of the account. "sayFT" continued to deny accusations of smurfing, but evidence was found on MajOr's own stream. This scandal has since created more problems for MajOr's reputation.

[...]

On September 2nd 2011, MajOr was released from Sixjax. Team manager Evoli announced the release on September 4th, citing MajOr's continued poor behavior and lack of professionalism despite repeated warnings. In response to this, MajOr stated that Sixjax failed to comply with the promise to sponsor a stay in Korea, even after he himself had arranged one with team New Star HoSeo, which, along with not sending any team players to the 2011 MLG Raleigh, led him to quit the team.

This led to another statement from the team, claiming that they had indeed made plans to send MajOr to Korea, but reconsidered after he lied to management about not wearing the official team jersey at 2011 MLG Anaheim, and having bad conduct with wbc after their match. Also, they claim that he swore against a fellow teammate dde in a streamed online tournament in the course of several games.

Sources are on the Liquipedia page.

There you have some facts aside from tournament results.

Also, this is pretty sick. This means a lot more than a simple player pickup - it shows KESPA's willingness to embrace the foreigner scene, most importantly.

couldn't resist. Was too easy of a pun to throw in. I'll be seriously ROOTing for MajOr, I hope T8 doesn't disband like some others were saying.

A few bad things are you kidding me? All my sources are directly from liquidpedia which are creditable sources. I cannot even fathom what else he has done that is not on liquidpedia. Looking at it from a objective standpoint it just boggles my mind why they would even consider someone like him. Just hope he is not taking advantage of their kindness because Kespa is very tight lipped about who they allow in their league.

It's true that Major's behavior has not been ideal in the past, but the fact that Root was willing to take him back AGAIN is a good sign. They trusted him enough to put their name on his t-shirt and that tells me he's probably not the same guy anymore.

Because his practice regimens cant compare with any other player? When you get screwed from 2 teams you can practice as much as you want and still you wont be able to show good results because you had to take care of ur food and surviving. There isnt any other foreigner that has better practice regimens if they have everything covered than Major, and it is also a good move by kespa to reach the foreigners. Proleague is all about practice and preparations and not soloing, but teamwork and practice under strict rules, which he himself stated in an interview you should read here on TL that its something he favors and its better for him.

Grab your pitchforks onto someone else, ok?
edit: if you would listen to Major anytime he was on SoTG it would help you to realize that heisnt that idiot you think he is.

I am not questioning his intelligence at all but I do put into question his attitude. Time and time again he has shown little to no change in his attitude. How he practices etc.. etc.. has no factor in how he has acted. I would side with you if it was just a few spread out cases that he lost it due to frustration/lack of results. Unfortunately he has kept this attitude throughout his professional career as a SC2 player.
