EGTL slightly ruining the show for me... I hope they care at all about this PL, and it's not like a contest between them about who gets screwed enough to have to play in something that nobody even wants to play in.

Well you have to realize that they didn't have Hero and Taeja, which for them is like playing without Flash and whoever is going to take the spot as KT second in SC2 (I'd love it if Stats kept on winning), as Jaedong is not yet an absolute dominator. I'm pretty sure Stephano can grab win as well against a good number of Kespa Player (I'm not certain that he can do it consistently but he has the ability to win).
If you look at the other players, Puma and Zenio have been out of form for a long time, JYP still has a lot to prove and lost a BO1 in PvP and well the others are foreigners and are not especially expected to win against Korean.

Otherwise, I'm afraid I've have picked players that are not going to be played that often. At least Fantasy scored points for me as my captain !

Relax... Most of them were exhausted from travel and they were lacking their two ace players + stephano. And jaedong on ohana? And Thorzain vZ? How could they possibly have won under these circumstances.

This first round KT was an easy pick but I think TL-EG will do very well in this season.

We are getting slightly off-topic, but I guess it's actually very important for team management in FPL:
What are the incentives for players to participate in Proleague? (what I briefly touched on in my prev. post)
The total prize is probably not. Large as it is, it is for the whole team, and what an individual player would get from it is hardly worth a year-long commitment and efforts. Then what?
I'm guessing that Kespa teams are more motivated, because of salaries and probably additional in-team rewards. But for someone on a foreign team, Proleague participation might not be worth it, compared to winning individual prizes.

This is true. For the same reason I don't really except Stephano to do well at all even when he's there, same for people who live on their own in Korea. Koreans who are at EG's house and Huk might get it together as time goes on though.

SC2 jaedong hasn't shown much and he's not going to be the EG-TL ace

In the hybrid league he was the ace winning many games. He may not come out for ace every time but he is an experienced ace player who knows how to win. It would be silly to think he wont come out as their ace. He is going to play a lot and jaedong is a player who wins. Thats going to hurt anyones anti team.

The thing about EGTL is that they only have a solid 123. Actually, we don't even know if those 123 will win consistently. For all we know they could only be average in proleague. The rest of the team is nowhere neear proleague skill. So yes, they were overhyped

Working under the assumption that he's good and that he's going to play a lot of games due to being one of the better Terran on CJ.
3 (P)Huk
No other reason than me being a fanboy. Hoping he plays a lot, though the presence of HerO on the team could make this a really dumb pick.
8 (Z)Jaedong (captain)
Since EG pays him lots of money I assume we'll see him often. That and he played really well in ProLeague last season and he seems to be improving fast.
5 (T)Last
He's good and he's going to be playing a lot of games.
3 (T)Puma
Again, TaeJa being on the team could make this a really dumb pick. But we'll see.
4 (Z)Shine
Solely because I think he's going to be playing a lot.
3 KT Rolster
Picked them because of the point value and because I expect them to make the playoffs.
Anti Team

6 (P)Stork
I just don't expect much from the above players, so that's that.

All in all, I just don't want to finish the year with a negative amount of points ^^

Anyway, I have Reality, Skyhigh and bbyong on my anti team. I hope I don't regret it later. :D

Nothing Jaedong has done so far in SC2 gives me confidence that he is not going to underperform his 8 point draft total quite easily. Bbyong has proven himself to be better in SC2 for half the draft points. On a team with Taeja, HerO, Stephano potentially playing, there is be almost zero opportunity for Jaedong to be ace. Jaedong will sit on my antiteam until I see something from him. I didn't see it last night.
PartinG fanboy to the max, Rain/Squirtle/Dear/Scarlett/Bbyong are cool too. I don't always watch Dota2 but when I do I have no clue what's going on. GOGO POWER RANGERS

I'm not syre about the specific details, but I just can't agree with these. Proleague is the most prestigious competition. Sure, some players that are looking for a starleague (osl, gsl) finals might possibly be valuing that more. Still, people have been known to value proleague over individual tourneys even as they get to the final, much less simply participating. Thigs may be different for a foreign team, but eg-tl is the first ever foreign team, and they are fielding mostly korean players including former kespa players. I gotta imagine they want to win as much as any other kespa team if not more.

If your anti-team is worth more points than your regular team, you're probably doing something wrong.

Some people play for the "honor" of the worst possible team. You can see quite a few antis with Flash/Rain/Bogus.

Edit: my team

ROLSTER FINGERBOOM

Main team

(T)Flash (C): Always in my team. As usual, he is expensive, but a safe bet. Also currently one of the best players after SC2 transition.

(T)TaeJa: I expect him and (P)HerO to carry the EG-TL team.

(P)Flying: needed a Protoss and Flying seems to be a good mid-cost player. Might trade with a CJ, Woongjin, or STX player depending on how things go.

(T)Sea: if he improves, I expect him to to be good for his low cost.

(Z)Hyuk: I expect T1 to do well, so its free points for low cost.

(Z)s2: same.

KT Rolster: undecided between KT and Woongjin, but historically KT does better than they look on paper (cue KTFlash jokes). Yesterday's match was a good start.

Anti-team

(Z)Jaedong: he will play often, but for the cost, I don't think he will do well. Thus, he takes most of the points I need for my anti.

(P)Bisu: not much improvement from Bisu either, although him being in SKT and popular might backfire. Still, I don't think he will make more points than two players at cost three or four.

(P)Sherry: needed to fill a point, so an unknown player of a team I don't expect to do well should do.
