Ah this is horrible news! I really hope it isn't too severe as it can be as you get older. I thought most people get immunization shots for this now, I guess I was wrong.

We've been through a lot these weeks, when I'm home I may write it all up in a post. We are finally settling in a bit in the new house and Dario gets this aggressive looking rash. At first we thought some sort of allergy and took him to the doctor who didn't really say much and gave him some random medicine. Next day it got a lot worse so we went to the hospital. They suspected chickenpox but the right doctor wasn't available and made us come back the day after. That is today we came home from the hospital a few hours ago and Dario was diagnosed with chickenpox.

In a way it is actually a big relief that we know what it is now, as it looks very worrying and at least chickenpox is a known infection. Dario is feeling pretty good given the circumstances. Adult chickenpox goes hand in hand with a lot of other symptoms usually, from which Dario seems to be spared for the most part. Slight headache and just being tired of the whole process and stress, but overall he is in good enough state to practice a bit and hopefully perform good enough to make it through another round in the GSL.

Positive note is yesterday night he decided to go on with playing Dimaga in the final of a tournament and managed to pull out the win.

Wow what are the odds! Truly sucks getting chickenpox at any stage but when you think you won't have to worry about it any longer it is the absolute worst. Hope your symptoms are mild and you recover quickly. Hopefully GSL doesn't pull you out of the tourney but if so you'll definitely own it up next time.
