As a long time SCTE Certified cable tech ... If the problem was with your upload speed being limited, then everyone would be experiancing the buffering ... not just some of the viewers, but all the viewers. In the case of the Sunday and Tuesday show, lag/buffering was experianced by 1/2 the viewers which steers the trouble shooting to UStream as the cause of the problem and not your ISP. I'm wondering a couple things: How far would UStream go to mis-direct or even lie to you to keep your show with them? Would other stream providers be able to handle the traffic you draw better than what UStream is currently delivering? I'd get with UStream and hold thier feet to the fire if it was me :-) Peace

I'm sure he did too :-) But logic holds that between his modem and the UStream server is his ISP. IF his modem upload is the bottleneck, then UStream is recieving garbage in from Day9 on that active upload stream .... Hence all UStream's output of that channel would be garbage too and would affect everyone, not just "some" or "few". 50+ year old computer concept: GIGO ... Garbage-in/Garbage-out. I say the problem is UStreams ability to handle 6k to 10k connections slamming thier server farm in such a short time span. Don't get me wrong ... If I thought the problem was with the cable company, I'd be the first to jump thier asses too.

Everyone was lagging today when time warner's upload dropped to .36 mpbs up. When it spiked back to semi-normal, some people were ok. When it plummeted again, everyone went back to lagging. I'm quite irritated.

Not only did they fix this issue, but they fixed it within 5 minutes. After UStream had handled everything, you heard me become noticeably excited around 7:15pm or so (well perhaps not heard, but read in my notepad). Then EVERYONE starts lagging and I'm confused. Lo and behold .36 mpbs up :[

Your show is the only reason I am awake past 9PM these days! Big <3's for Day9 One more thing, have you considered giving TWC a call and asking em the problem? I currently deal with TWC on the east coast, and I have the same problem you are describing, during certain times lately my internet had just, died mysteriously, and when I run a speed test, my DL and UL speeds are horrible.
