Wtf, in what world would you ever think "man, I wish I didn't have this much RAM"

Because few people have a need for more than 8.

I wish I had 24 gb. I kept getting out of memory analyzing all the data I got, lol.

Yeah I think overall it's going to be about 26k for my entire Bachelor of Mathematics degree. I'm always amazed how much more expensive post secondary is down in the States compared to Canada.

It's very much dependent on where you go, and whether we're talking room+board+tuition or not(I'd assume we are, because it's silly to discuss 'cost' while not including costs). A lot of state schools have discounts both for in-state and in-county tuition, and can get down to like 5k/semester total costs.

Yep, state unis can be 5-12k/year if you get in-state tuition which saves alot.

Private schools like American which I went to is probably ~50k/year total including room and board if you don't get scholarship and financial aid, because DC is expensive as all hell to live/study in. Most people who go get something in the way of financial mitigation, though.

Ah okay. I guess it just really depends on where you go for your education. Makes more sense to me now.

But in general, the American education system is highway robbery, so yay freedom!

It depends on the states too. But in general, US public schools are a lot pricier

Also Canada has free healthcare which is nice. Where for the States my understanding is that healthcare is significantly expensive.

Although I'm not 100% sure about that and that really isn't a can of worms that I should open in this thread.

I'm guessing this largely has to do with your major and your professor, but textbooks aren't usually too expensive for me. The Philosophy text books in general are dirt cheap, at least for where I am at.

Hey for anyone who played the revamped DmC, do you need to use a controller, or are the PC controls decent enough?
