DMC is a flash sale tho so I'd highly recommend that. I heard Witcher 2 was $3.50 for the moment. Can anyone sell me on this series? It seems like it'd be fun to play but I didn't get very far in the first one. Edit: Also, current flash sale for Hotline Miami, which is great and has an incredible soundtrack.
Witcher 2. Story is amazing. Combat is apparently meh-ish for a lot of people, but not gamebreakingly bad, and i kinda liked it. Main selling point though, story. Choices feel like they matter. And they actually do. The whole second act is completely different depending on some choices. Sometimes it turns out a lot later that some choice you made had a consequence you wouldn't have imagined. Very well written characters. Basically, the choices in the Witcher feel similar to the The Walking Dead game, obviously there are a few less of them, but on the other Hand there is also a lot of real RPG gameplay, not ONLY choices and story. Basically, the game is kind of an in between of The Walking Dead and Dark Souls.
I'd also suggest giving Witcher 1 another try, even though it is a lot more rough (Swamp level omg.). These games really get better the more you get into them and the more invested you are in the story.

Do I have to have played the first Witcher to appreciate the second one? I don't wanna have to buy two.

Just bought Farcry 3 and as soon as I finished paying it asked if I wanted to have it remotely install on my computer back home
wtf Steam that's kinda stalker-y. Maybe we need some space.

Lord Gaben merely wishes to make sure you play your games speedily and offers you an option. Nothing on the steam sale so far interests me, I dunno I can't really think of any games I'd want to play atm.

You don't have to. There's a vid on youtube done by the devs that goes over what happened in the first one.

Yeah I grabbed Mirror's Edge but other than those two I don't really care about the rest.

Ya my initial reaction was still 'omg Steam Sale' a little while ago, but then I thought about what I might buy, and it's pretty much nothing. I wasn't super interested in much that came out recently, indie or AAA, especially considering the window from the Winter sale til now(and Humble Bundles that have hit since then as well). I'm sure a ridiculous discount will sway me into a few purchases, but there's not a long list of stuff I'm actively waiting to see pop up on a flash sale or bundle like sales past.

There's nothing new I really want, but I'm just grabbing cheap games from the past couple years that I didn't get around to at the time.
Speaking of money, I need to decide if I want to buy that Knight tonight while I'm at the game store for 40k. Hmmm

I wonder if Dark Soul 2 will have a discount... I want to see what this shit is all about.

just play dark souls 1/demon's souls. Dark Souls 2 changes a few of the series' mechanics in rather dramatic ways

It's 33% off right now, but usually is worth waiting to see if there will be a bigger one later.

You don't want to buy anything until you looked at your finances Req. Even if you know you've got money, check how much.

Honestly I checked yesterday and saying exactly how much would be embarassingly bragg-y. As much as I'm an asshole I do pretend to like to be modest about these sorts of things.
