Mm- it's less that mech is too strong vs Z, and more that there aren't easy answers to mech. Of course, professional players can deal with it, but as a scrubby zerg its /really/ hard to deal with mech. If you want more casual play, you need casual answers, and mech as a composition has no 'casual' answer right now.
[Although you can always rely on cheese, which is fair! I don't think it's all that bad right now. Just venting my woes as a silver zerg ><]

Yeah that's why its played so much at high levels.
Without getting into a huge discussion about it that's really easily explained by the fact that it requires a significantly different skillset from going bio and most pros don't have the mech experience that players like MVP/ForGG do/did.
Also Bunny and Hydra aren't the same level of player on paper, so comparing mech's effectiveness here isn't exactly a great argument one way or the other
