He had to spend over 400 minerals on pylons and cannons to cancel a base where Elazer already had his third ready to go. He got basically no value out of those buildings other than forcing an awkward second base which he did nothing to punish.

I'm not a Toss player and I'm not GM so I can't say what he should have done but possibly he should have read the situation better and just FFE'd instead of forcing a cannon rush in a bad situation

If you open forge and he goes 3hatch you shuold just keep on canonrushing everybase. Elazor could not have defended the base on the right or the left. The moment it was clear that the pylon wall would not be broken he should have rushed to the next base. The pool was like a quarter done at that point.

like I said, I think he could still have cannoned 7 o'clock and force a super awkward base layout for Elazer which could be punished really easily, Iron Fortress is no Deadwing
