this is a semantic argument but i will say there is merit to the idea that plenty of moderate-level sc2/esports fans could watch a chunk of code S and a chunk of WCS EU and see something pretty similar. yes it's a given that the more you watch the better you'll be able to discern the highest levels, but let's be honest, there's not that much insane, face-melting micro that happens in most sc2 games to begin with, it's largely macro, army movement, positioning, etc. a code S game will probably have more flair and more opportunities to see great control but in my view it's honestly not a significantly different viewing experience. i can certainly tell the difference in skill apart to some degree, but i dont agree with the griping about how anything below top koreans is "unwatchable" or "bad"

Honestly if I only knew him from SC2 I'd probably not have a problem with him, but I hated his playstyle in BW, I would pretty much always have preferred seeing Fantasy or Leta.

Its not unwatchable or bad, but it doesn't interest me. I understand the appeal for local fans and the idea of watching local players, but in the end I'm a sucker for the platonics. The idiots who chase the dream of being the greatest in the wake of Mvp.
