He's made ~225k in 4 years but that's just tournament winnings. You don't know what his salary was from MVP or what he got from Razer. Also 56k/yr might go farther in Korea than it does in America (I honestly don't know) and considering he lived in the team house all these years, he probably has had relatively few expenses. Of course this is all speculation and nobody knows or should know this stuff. But even if just going off tournament winnings, DRG is rich for a person his age. How many people make 56k/yr from the time they're 20 to 23? In America, most work low paying, by the hour jobs, are in college, or both. | ||

And more so how ridiculous it is to equate a subjective "lack of passion" with tournament winnings- meager winnings, I'd argue. Lebron James makes millions a year and you don't hear people argue about a loss of passion due to the insane amounts he makes (or any other athlete for that matter). While 56k/yr is certainly not bad in your 20's, it's not much for being the top in your field. I made that as an entry level engineer with shite marks out of school. I also wasn't drinking Dom and driving a Ferrari. | ||
