Nexus first -> gateway is possible for protoss to survive. The nexus can't be saved, but if protoss has good probe micro and can get a msc out to chase the lings away (like Stats did, I don't think he lost anything besides the first zealot) then I don't think you're that far behind. Especially because warpgate kicks in rather fast too and unless they do a speedling all in followup you'll have a recall available to go and pressure while getting the nexus up. That helps with forcing units and even gets scouting info. In this case, Stats just won the game with it. That's from my experience at least. The most awkward part is trying to figure out what the zerg is doing as a followup. | ||
