MLG are at this point so, so far behind every other tournament out there. They have a never ending stream of tech issues, all they have to do to redeem themselves is show good games but they can't even do that much. Of course they deserve to be criticized. No one should suggest they should not be criticized. However, the shit that the SC2 scene, particularly in NA, counter-shovels on anybody who fucks up even a little bit is equally awful. Criticism that is for the express purpose of saying how awful something is is NOT real criticism, that's just whining. And whining NEVER leads to good results. If people were to phrase their criticism constructively instead of talking about 'worst MLG ever' and how disgusted they are, not only is it more likely to have an effect, but it encourages people who maybe didn't care to get involved at first to get themselves into it, as opposed to the vitriol getting thrown around which actively discourages less-involved people from touching the rage-filled catfight that is pretty typical of complaints I've seen over the past few days.

Switch to an Invite only tournament featuring 16 players and do 4 round robin pools to seed a double elimination bracket. MLG gets the views they want without a massive set up and we get amazing games all weekend!

and remember the backlash last time MLG tried to do an invite only tourney?
