It's actually why. All celebrations and cheering have been suspended for this week of play (concluding with tonight's matches) in recognition of the tragedy.

All the KeSPA events have been showing a great deal of restraint. During the LoL event that day, they did not cheer and observed silence between the games, IIRC.
It's tragic, and I think they are staying somber out of respect for the many missing (and presumably dead) people from the ferry.
