Well that, or try catch JDs army out of position, threatening to snipe JDs bases if he didnt defend it too. Maru had a lot more mobile army and had to just kill the corruptors essentially to have a shot at killing the bls for "free".

You do realize that Maru started Viking production less than 30 seconds after Broodlords were morphed? Terran cant just build a bunch of vikings and cross his fingers hoping zerg then builds the Broodlords
