Well not really the top of KeSPA though

I wouldn't really call Dear, Soo and Stats the top of KeSPA. O_O

Well these guys beat guys like Soulkey, Innovation, fantasy etc, so theyre pretty good

They didn't necessarily beat them head-to-head but yeah Kespa qualifiers did happen and those top Kespa players ended up not making it out over Dear Stats and sOo...

Wow, Dear is devastated

Going down from arrogance to defeat must be tough on him ...

What did he do that was arrogant?

He said that he was going to crush Nani. TT

Maybe he was just trying to generate excitement like MC does. Too bad he's not as charismatic as MC...

korean being bm = generating excitement. nani being bm = ban him from tournaments & while you're at hit throw some gasoline and burn him. Koreans themselves are nationalistic as f**k, I can't understand why westerners refuse to support their own guys.

Because they aren't my guys?

When I watch Hero vs Naniwa Hero is my guy, I don't care that Nani happened to be born somewhere else than in Korea.

If Koreans have this mindset and we don't (which isn't true at all btw), it's actually a good thing for us.

But really, the top of Kespa since they won the qualifiers.

They may have won the qualifiers, but it's pretty reasonable to say they are not the top 3 Kespa Players.

The "top kespa players" should just play better in qualifiers, I guess

Yes, good point.

Quick question guys, do i understand this format correct?
IF either Polt or Hyun lose their semi finals match they are both instantly out, even though they havent dropped a single series yet ?

Polt is up 2-0 on Naniwa. Its a Bo7. Naniwa has to win 4-1 to advance. Polt can go 2-3 and advance.

If Sound wins, then Hyun and Sound have a Bo3. If Hyun wins, he goes to the final. If Sound wins, then the Bo3 they just played becomes a Bo7, with the winner of the Bo7 going to the final.

If Hero wins, then it's a Bo7 with Hyun up 2-1.

You make a good point actually. Polt is still on two lives. He hasn't lost a Bo3 yet.

Yeah, i really hope they send the very best kespa to foreign tournament sometime.

They had qualifiers, the kespa guys competing at MLG actually eliminated other (top)people to come here....

Extended series is not that bad in this case, normally naniwa would have to win 2xbo3 while polt only needs 1 in double elimination so a bo7 with polt starting 2-0 is almost the same.

THIS!!! Finally someone gets it... Winners haven't LOST yet... and Naniwa has... How is fair for Polt if he loses 2-0 and be "out" of the finals... lol

How does the new extended series work?

Polt leads 2-0. Bo7.

why the fuck do they have that rule?

Group stages doesn't give you free wins in the playoffs if you happen to win a bit more

This is a double elimination tournament and they have met already. Naniwa lost. Therefore Polt has the advantage from their first series.

Well clearly that makes the victory total unimpressive. Nani did beat the BEST player in the world. Total 'meh' worthy.

It's extended series. Naniwa start 0-2 :/ Such a stupid rule..

I think it might be because naniwa's coming from losers bracket and polt is in winners, not because of extended series...

That's what extended series is.
