I honestly don't think soO is top 5 ( at least in regard to PL performance, not including individual tournaments), additionally to the above there also are hyvaa, JD, ZerO, s2, Crazy

He's WAAAY less good than Rain/Parting/sOs and probably Jangbi right now. Yes he won the qualifiers and they didn't, but that's more a fluke than anything.

Just saying that there needs to be some reward for the winning player, and I feel like a lot of extended series haters hate the entire idea (including the reason for its existence) and haven't ever actually thought about why it's necessary. I agree. Extended series make much more sense now than thay used to with the old format. However, it's still a rather bad solution. The biggest problem is that it does not always reward the players in the winners bracket. Imagine if Sage had reached the semis instead of Hero. He would have startet at 0-0 vs Hyun despite him coming from the lower bracket and it would have been unfair to Hyun. Also, there is still the old problem with extended series in the lower bracket. Despite both players having dropped to the lower bracket one of them gets an unfair advantage (miraculously this didn't happen this time around). The best solution in my opinion would be to discard extended series and just give a 1 or 2 game advantage to the player from the winners bracket in the semis.
