MLG pays for flights/hotel (not sure about hotel but flight is 100% covered by them)

i've been playing in MLG open brackets since 2006 for various games
and i gotta say i don't miss it at all. this is much better for both MLG and the fans imo. the sc2 open bracket was a thorn in MLG's side for a long time - a lot of controversy came from it (players getting kicked out of the player area for example) and MLG has to employ/fly out more referees, and rent a lot more computers/equipment, and it took up a huge space in the venue. im very happy with the new format

This format is way, way better. They just need to have an open qualifier so that MLG has that more open feel again. Give the top 16 seed and then have an online open bracket for the other 16 spots. That would be ideal to me. With this format you can watch everything and its less costly and hectic for MLG to run these events.
