Well, I thought Alive would probably advance from this group. Shows again that up&downs can be really weird. Maybe Alive will get better later today. Or he just fails miserably like in this game.

I love that people make out like he played awful when he micro'd every engagement almost perfectly, came incredibly close to taking the game and ended up barely losing out to the new defensive, harass-focused PvT that every fucking terran is losing to on a P-favoured map.

He lost a cc to 2 zealots, nuff said

This mentality is dumb as fuck. Lose incredibly close game > get called terrible for the mistakes that are made. That's not giving enough credit to JYP or Alive, who actually showed really good (but flawed) play.

It's pretty clear that in the lategame he got flustered against the mass-harass/army pressure after feeling that he'd won, so he tried to close the game with what he had (saying 'fuck my eco') and it didn't pay off. That's a bad decision, but not terrible play.

He lost 2 Orbitals to 2 zealots.

You cannot explain that away by saying, "oh but he was microing his army." 2 Orbitals to 2 Zealots. thats just unforgivable.



It might look silly that he failed to deal with those 2 zealots but the thing is that TvP is already so very micro intensive and unforgivable as terran with out zealot harassment. So when you add zealots harassment, late game with 4 bases etc, then its easy to get really flustered and stressed and it looks like Alive just sucks. Imo we shouldnt be to hard on Alive.

MMA seems to be closing the advantage. These hellions are going to be great against the ling army of B4. B4 seems to feel a little too comfortable.

I actually disagree that he was behind. He was behind in bases but he was able to consistantly force engagements that went his way with a better army to cancel out better econ.
