I wasn't checking very often, but the highest I saw was roughly 55-60k

About 70k on the main stream for the finals. That doesn't include Swedish TV and the other language streams.

Dota2 has a handful of tournaments every year. LoL a few more.

Starcraft 2 has a tournament pretty much every single week.

Is LoL or Dota2 on television yet? Also SC2 has a lot of big tournaments going on quite constantly every few weeks. As far as I know Dota2 and LoL have much less tournaments going on but hit higher viewer counts on those.

And the real question is: does this even matter? Can't all the games just co-exist instead of having to beat each other in viewer count?
Just ahead of time, know your addiction's not a crime. It's just a smaller part of who you want to become in the end.

According to who? I do think SC2 is far better, but that doesn't mean it [should] be doing better.

I'd say SC2 destroys LoL in terms of people who watch the games but dont actually PLAY the game.

LoL's big viewer numbers simply comes from having a very big playerbase.

SC2 getting such high numbers from people who barely even play the game is a very unique thing in esport.
Its moving close to an actual sport in that regard.

After game 2 I was almost certain he would lose the series. During game 3, I almost gave up as it seemed the cloack banshee build would fail him. But oh boy was I glad to watch the series to the end! GG Taeja! And happy birthday to Team Liquid!

Also GG for HerO and TLO too! TLO seemed to have really improved, even though his result wasn't that great. He was ahead in most of the games I saw but I think the lack of tournament games lately was showing a bit. Can't wait for him to get on top of his game though!

Remember lol can be watched via the ingame client and therefor tournaments get a lot more attention from riot.
Blizzard isn't really doing that much to promote tournaments - if we compare to dota2 and lol.
But doesn't matter, big numbers = esport progressing. Then we all win!

Probably the worst closing ceremony of all time, they may aswell of just put the end credits after the GG.

Try having a sense of humor, it was a funny closing ceremony and am I the only one who enjoys watching shy korean guys put into uncomfortable situations? It's adorable.

I love it too! It's one of my favourite things in the world. Besides, imho, it's actually a healthy thing to be put through.
