It's funny how people are creating lists of people who "don't belong" in Code S. These people practice 10+ hours a day and they prove themselves by getting through Code A and kids thousands of miles away that don't even compete are trying to express who "belongs" in Code S. It's Ro16. They must've made it past Ro32. They proved themselves. These players are amazing and they are there for a reason.

That statement doesnt make any sense since the GSL is partly a knockout-tournament. So instead of having a league where every player has to face everyone else and gets points for his wins you have a knout-out system where people can get extremely lucky by avoiding certain opponents/match-ups.

Damn, even though people are nominating group A for group of death, it is my opinion that all groups are stacked as hell.

Life was picked last? Hmm I suppose his insane ladder skills and unpredictably have something to do with it. Reminds me of GSL November, when Jjakji was almost picked last, and all the non-players went "wtf who is this guy"

That's actually very managable. He just need take down one of Mvp / Curious, and with Mvp's state it's not worst thing ever. Not a sure thing but it's best group he got for a while.

The only better group for him I see is if he and Leenock swap place, but even that got Squirtle / HerO in it.

Except MKP has NEVER managed to take a televised series from MVP, he's already lost three different tournament finals to him.

THREE!

GSL January 2011, GSL 2011 World Championships, WCG 2011 Korean Qualifier

MVP knows how to beat Marineking, he's done it every single time the two of them have met. Marineking has a better chance of defeating Curious and JYP than he does of taking down MVP finally. all the evidence seems to point to MVP having an advantage if these two meet.

long time ago :p
MVP overcame the MMA curse, etc. DRG was like 11-3 against MKP at one time, before the double MLG stomps.
things change! haha

opter i cannot agree more with you. i still remember the first sc2 match i watched was that game where mc was winning 2-0 against mkp and mkp stormed back with 3 games to go to the finals (yes to be beaten 4-2 by mvp).

i still remember when mc went for the void ray semi all-in + warp in high ground on forgot-map mkp used a beautiful mule block on the ramp to block the zealots. that game just won me over.

mkp matured a lot as a player. here's hoping that he finally makes it past ro16

MKP is still that kid who crumbles randomly under pressure though. MVP knows this, MVP is almost the complete polar opposite. When MKP reaches that kind of mental strength, he will be a demon in the SC2 world.

It's not even that he crumbles, it's that he sometimes just randomly makes boneheaded decision that make people go WTF??!

that happens when you dont know how to play the game

Being pigeonholed into ONE playstyle and being incapable of adaptation is knowing how to play the game I heard

Lol Greg's cut because his one liners use to bring laughter from all the fanboys and "zings" from sheep but now everyone just laughs at him and ignores him.

Taeja and Polt are good for DRG.
Those two historically cheese a lot less than MarineKing or IMMvp.
DRG likes standard, he excels at standard.

Polt beat Symbol a few nights ago with two straight double proxy rax all-ins.

I can see Polt varying it up if he feels that he isn't confident in the late game vs. Zerg, but Polt usually does play 95% long game/three base vs. Zerg. No matter what.
