Under calendar it says 3+ hours, but on the banner Spring champs 34 minutes.
Anyone know what's going on? I want to see everything including opening ceremonies, but I have an errand to run. I really need to know the accurate schedule! Mine says 3 hrs 33 min for both

Go to MLG live page (so majorleaguegaming.com/live or something like that). Click on "brackets" in top right corner. Voila!

That's hilarious.
It'll be more hilarious if IdrA loses. Oh I hope so...

awesome catch! I'm sure Idra will win but hoping Spades will at least take one game with some silly cheese so that Idra can rage: "fu*king hacker" ^^

It's been confirmed Zack has withdrew from the tournament.. more probably because Blizzard cut him.

Zack isn't attending anymore.
IdrA better stomp Spades however, wouldn't be surprised if there was a pretty heavy crowd for this match.

It doesn't really matter on LAN :D

On June 09 2012 05:16 Devolved wrote: I can't believe people still complain about tourney times and expect a tournament on the other side of the world to cater to their timezone instead of the timezone that the tourney is being held in. Do you people also complain about NBA games being played in their local time zones and expect them to play at 9 a.m. so you can watch it live? When your viewers are mainly europeans and americans in earlier timezones than the event is being held, you can at least try to accommodate them a little. You obviously can't do it perfectly, but if its in your power to move the event up an hour or two I see no reason not to. It helps lots for foreign viewers.
The NBA has the american audience as its main customers, MLG doesn't. They make their money from advertising and selling HQ passes, and if a larger portion of matches is watchable by more people its good for everyone. Even if it comes at the cost of screwing over the live viewers a little. The finals of European tournaments should be held in the (late) evening, US events should have their finals in the afternoon. There's nothing wrong with trying to accomodate viewers on both continents, and 'big' sporting events do so already. Specific sports at the olympics are tailored into timeslots where the most involved countries can watch (speed iceskating is usually placed in a EU/US timeslot for example), and the reason the EC is played in the evening is so South America can watch. You're catering to your viewers first, and the live attendees second.
Just take NASL or Redbull Battlegrounds, I didn't watch either final. I went to bed and checked the score the next day. I imagine lots of Europeans did the same. If they changed their schedule by 2-3 hours, I would have watched both.

Incontrol also looks set to be taken out my Minigun or Destiny. Although I haven't seen the latter play sc2 in ages. He's been streaming games today and it looks really really rough vs Toss. So prob Minigun.

It'll probably be Hawk vs. IdrA in round 4 anyway.
