I felt like byun was still the better player that game.

damn.

People have often asked why they don't go back to marines after the air battles because the tanks are dying, and the answer is no upgrades.

so byun goes bio -> air -> bio. dayamn.

I think he could have taken out the 12 oclock planetary and opened up more routes around the map which would really help lategame bio switch.

i cant tell if trying to get into the lategame was byun's plan the whole time, but regardless he used an inferior unit comp to force a split map, and supernova chose against pressing his advantage in unit comp and bases to just keep the split map. then byun switches to air and does some fancy ass shit and uses SICK EMPs to drain supernova's raven energy. i dont know how cause i stood up but supernova got really far behind in the air battle and maybe should have lost, but then byun is like OK WELL, you can have it back cause im gonna switch BACK into marine marauder because your tank count is now lower than before...

but then there were tanks and byun dropped his vikings to try to break the tank line

and then supernova used tanks.

that was a pretty fucking good game

Byun didn't have that. He couldn't stop unsieged tank attack-move at that point. Without banshees or BCs, the tanks ruled the battlefield. He was nearly out of money, and supernova had the last mining base in about 1 minute.

I'd have stayed for maybe 20 more seconds if I was Byun. But his only hope left was if Supernova didn't advance into the very unprotected base they were fighting over.
