Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

GJ TL. The interview came after idra gave him the finger. And yeah, right, that ceremony motion MC always does is definitely on the same level as point blank giving someone the finger. Idra needs to grow up as well as all these kids cheering him on for it. I think people like you who are sensitive to it need to grow up lol. It's not about being sensitive to the finger. It's the mere fact that Idra is so socially inept his only response to a friendly gesture of challenge is one of vulgarity. No one here has never seen the finger before. But if this was a verbal exchange it'd be: MC: "Come at me." Idra: "**** YOU, ******!" Basically Idra has no class or sense of humor.
So you translate a throat slash gesture to "come at me"? I'd say it's something more like "I'm going to kill you in the next series".
It's funny how everybody takes that finger so seriously, what makes you think IdrA wasn't doing a non-serious finger back at him? What should he have done anyway?
Actually, I'd love to hear that from someone, what do YOU think IdrA should've done in response?

That was the case for sc1 but not sc2.

Yep I did, care to explain?

Just got on, what is happening? All i see is Wheat/JP waffling like last MLG.

Idra would not be getting flack from as many people if he responded to MC's taunt with something similar rather than with a "gee I don't know what to do in this situation" middle finger.
I thought it was a "F*ck off, nub, I'm going to 2-0 you again" middle finger.

MC is acting, a showman. Idra is just an angry manbaby. But could you all just DROP IT. Watch the games, bunch of dramaqueens.

IT WAS A JOKE! that would be the worst joke ever it boggles my mind how bad some of you are at figuring shit like that out not "some" more like everyone except "you" now you completely stop making sense ...meh, whatever

It is neither creative nor exciting to see a short guy giving someone the finger. Haha. Gotta admit I find MC's showboating charming, it's borderline WWF wrestler style. IdrA's "badboy" attitude I don't find entertaining, but I can understand it's appeal to angsty teens. That said, I think that rivalry is important for the growth and depth of the scene. You reference WWF wrestle style as "charming" and badboy attitude for angyst teens ? WWF is for kids and people who watch Nascar.
Well I wanted to use the term pantomine villain, but I don't think most people here would understand the term so I likened it to the nearest thing I could. Basically I find the over the top, tongue in cheek celebrations and call outs he does funny and charming.
I'm just not impressed by a skinny midget swearing and flipping people off at the drop of a hat, it's little man syndrome and just doesn't appeal to me. Not to say that I don't understand why it would to people.
As I said it's neither here nor there as I think both of them are doing alot for the sc2 scene and rivalry and trash talking adds depth and growth.

He's just no fluff and says it like it is.... Because Come at Me is sooooo classy. Also, why are we still talking about this? I doubt MC's offended, and Idra flipping him off is completely in character.

The record for NA and Euro Terrans in group play is: 25W - 52L. Thats 32%.
The record for NA Terrans is 10W - 35L 22%
MMA the lone Korean Terran is 8-1
Anyone else notice this?
Side note, Toss is 25 - 31 47% Zerg is 49 - 28 64%
Any ideas why Non-Korean Terrans are falling behind, especially NA Terrans?
Why group NA terrans and Euro terrans when, by your numbers, NA terrans are 10-35, and EU terrans are 15-17?
It seems more like NA simply doesn't have as good of Terrans as either EU or KR.

We really need to get some games going if all people can talk about is the Pointless throat slash and IdrA do the Finger, come on now, it is obviously just a rivalry, this is not going to end SC2 or cause a riot.
