As funny as sarcasm can be sometimes (especially if a game stinks to the high heavens), there's something to be said for good ol' enthusiasm. Keeps the energy of the cast up.
He was as enthusiastic as anyone else that's casted for NASL.

As you can tell by my recaps, I am tired. G'night everyone, and see you for tommorow's NASL games.

Incontrol is too busy laughing at Artosis struggling to learn anything.

Catspajamas is so awesome. His voice is so easy to listen to and his beard should be the envy of everyone here. Hell yeah Catspajamas!

Oh look, you continue to hate Incontrol. I was wondering about your thoughts on white ra's gimmicky play?

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't like cats voice. His enthusiasm seems a little forced / fake to me. Great games today though. White-Ra, you're my hero man. A much deserved win today.

Thanks for the LR's, Corvette - g'night!

The NASL production quality is really noticeably better this week from my perspective, good show, good games.

Whitra was very gimmicky today with his dt's no doubt.
Of course he has proven himself as a top player who is able to consistently beat top players using balanced play time and time again, unlike Incontrol.

Wow Gretorp plugging handsomenerd while wearing a polo. What a great way to get people to NOT LIKE their attire!

I think it hurts, in the sense that there's was a long line of great players that were itching to participate.
There should be some kind of rule, like if a player misses two games he automatically forfeits his spot to a back-up player. That new player would start behind in points, but at least he gets a chance to play without having to go through the open tournament.

I'm glad that this thread has established punishing no detection as a gimmick.

I didn't find it to be gimmicky at all. In the first game he used them to take a macro lead... he didn't rely on them doing damage whatsoever (as they did nearly none) yet he still took the lead.
In game 2, he had a few DTs later in the game to try and take a lead back and for a bit of harass. There is nothing wrong with getting some units for harass... it's not gimmicky. He again played for a macro game.
In game 3, I don't see how that was gimmicky at all to be honest.
If you are going to call getting DTs in general as always gimmicky, then I can see why you are saying they are, but then you may as well say Terrans who get Hellions/banshees for harass or zergs who get mutas for harass are gimmicky... which is usually not true.
