Certainly makes it interesting.

On an unrelated note: will this be streaming live, del, or will the broadcast be delayed?

Live cast by Wolf and Unstable for English-speaking viewers. However, Unstable is having his wisdom teeth taken out this week so there may be a last-minute replacement Streal URL remains the same though as Unstable will be controlling the camera regardless.

Hahaha ya that's the first name I noticed as well... especially after he said he doesn't really play tournaments on Destiny's stream, but said he had good results in the ones he did play in. Anyway, it sucks Destiny isn't on the list either before or after him for an epic grudge match. I hope they let him talk shit during the game.

I was like Combat-Ex, wtf, but then I can imagine you'll invite him in because of people wanting to see a car wreck, I bet he'll bring in some 'interesting' games. Will he continue his 'begging for wins'? Who knows, let's tune in and find out. I can always watch IPL on the kick-ass VODs.

Don't get this as "event bashing", I am talking only about system:

I really don't get it what is positive side of KOTH format. It is just stupid, you have 11 awesome players and for instance sixjaxTerran has to play 10 matches to win and fnaticMSI.Fenix only one. Also how did you determine order of play?

Meh... I never understood KOTH, it is just illogical that this type of tournament can be used for big events like FXOpen.

Terran has a chance to get the biggest streak though, Fenix does not. And that's the biggest payout. It's not a completely even system, but it's interesting enough. And it means they can have that number of pretty good players and not have to run 50 games.

Terran can play 3 games and win $200 like Maka did in the Korean event. The prizemoney is split between biggest win streak and the last man standing. The main motivator here is something small to fill in between the bigger events, it isn't so draining on the players and still delivers the entertainment of a bigger event to viewers and is short and sweet to organise and run.

After your answers I once more readt OP and it seems I have to pay more attention because I didn't see that biggest prize is for winning streak and that order of play was randomly determined. Also I didn't look at this tourney as "filler" giving that such good players are participating but it has more sense now after you explained. Thanks!

Anyway, can't wait for the games. Thanks FXOpen! :-)

It seems to have stabilized for me now. The image itself seems a bit choppy, but the sound is good.

Hahahahaha was just going to pass this tournament by and then saw that Combat Ex is playing. Now it's a must watch.

Seriously this should be spotlighted with "He Returns...."

Really brilliant move Del. I'm assuming the reason WAS the popularity he would bring, right?

Disappointed with the surprising absence of Piqliq, though.
