So, the european nasl launch has less viewers than day9 gets every day and laggs like hell.

word.

i can't believe how sad this is. i really thought nasl was something big and that they'd knew it is so crucial to let the community watch these games. As it is for now, i wont watch these laggy streams. and VODs only for 25$....come on. They could at least upload low quality vods for free, but nothing?

this saddens me and with this kind of policy i dont think the nasl is making fans..

Launch stream last night was running fine with much more viewers. Don't know what is happening right now but their launch cast went well. Also, GSL doesn't give VODs for free. Why should NASL?

I have no problem with the lag, that can be fixed, but what about the production? I thought we was going to get interviews, highlights and backstory content? Is that shown only at the American broadcats time?

From the Q&A thread made by Xeris:

"LIVE Games?: There are many technical issues with a live broadcast related to stream quality.

When we stream a game live with in-studio footage, we must choose between the quality of production and the smoothness of the show all according to a budget that allows for such a prize pool.

If we were to do the show completely live, we would have to cut a lot of our transitional effects which give us the "wow" factor.

Additionally, a live broadcast does not allow smooth in-game camera cuts. Due to the level of our stream quality, which can be watched on a 72" widescreen TV, in-game camera cuts leave a "residue" of the previous shot.

Furthermore, a delayed broadcast allows us to involve Europeans without having them stay up until 5 in the morning to play their matches.

So overall, we felt that a pre-record of the show gave an overall quality level that was worth the loss of immediacy. "

I can't believe people are being so harsh on a brand new organization considering things went so well. It will only get better than day 1, and the games were awesome!

Well if you dont pay for it you shouldnt complain about lagg. i payed 25 bucks and watched the vods for yesterday they were 100% lagg free and quality+load time was amazing.

well you can complain but not like those in the stream chat.
thats just ridiculous.. people are acting like they have been betrayed, raped or nearly killed..

people are retarded like that don't bother with them, just do you thing and ignore them, it is just the start I am sure it will improve, justin.tv does this streaming thing for a living if they see that they need more server they will add more server, if they think they need to optimize their code they will(unless justintv is stupid they probably have their code optimized to the max for streaming).

Well apparently a lot of that was in the pregame which we all missed because they started early. I think they should definitely get it inbetween the games. I'm sure as it goes on they will gain more experience and become more comfortable in it.

The original stream for NA was quite smooth overall with only a few small laggy spots. And there were ~25k viewers.

Im a bit dissapointed with the production value and the quality of the casters microphones. And the stream is lagging horribly for me aswell Im a bit dissapointed with the value i have gotten out of my 25$ atm. I really hope that the overall quality of nasl will increase! I really want nasl to succed
