we're probably the only major starcraft website that has a banner that has nothing to do with starcraft.

The banner reminds me of the part from Lord of the Rings where Gandalf summoned the river in Rivendell. The river then went huge, the waves took the form of foamy horses and washed away the Nazguls.
I might be totally wrong though.

Well i remember when the whole counter started that there was a poll for who would make the best leader of a team of foreign players or something along those lines, and that really got me thinking on if this countdown is to announce a foreign starcraft team that is to compete in korea, if this was true id definately be excited about that

You mean there will be something actually worthy for the countdown? For example, the SC2 announcement had a countdown of just 1 week, so this has to be at least twice as big...

Changing the banner would be nice though I don't think the surprise would be something so small... Complete site revamp... maybe... although I would have thought that any news over a site revamp would have been leaked out long ago due to the time and number of people it takes to implement, test, tweak etc.

Actually is not Gandalf that makes the river come to life, it's Arwen when she is chased my Nazguls with frodo on her horse. Sorry about being a geek but since I see the banner every day it keeps me reminded of the movie :D

yeah in the movie it was like that, but wasn't it in the book so that elrond summoned the great wave that came down the river and gandalf made the wave look like horses.. at least thats how i remember it.
anyways three more hours to go :/
