Keen and Hurricane. Supernova and Yonghwa!
When I saw this... I checked the writers again to make sure it wasn't Fionn's predictions XD

I'm boycotting pieces from SC2 writers until Fionn releases the 52,000 word article.

[Supernova] he became the first and only player to die to collapsible rocks.
Does anyone know where (if any) I can find a VOD of this?

Bomber normally only makes big runs at tournaments like MLG or IPL, where he can play standard then out macro everyone. I bet he loses to back to back all ins. Better to just rip the bandaid off before he makes a great run before dying

I remember this match as I did watch it, but I can't remember the exact game it happened in. I feel like it may have been in the pre-season...
It wasn't so much that he died to collapsible rocks, but he lost a bunch of widow mines (and I think marines) when that happened and it severely weakened his push, allowing his Zerg opponent to overwhelm his [Supernova's] army and take it out while suffering fairly minimal damage to his economy and army. Of course that led to SN's eventually death in that game... it was kind of a funny, yet sad, sight to behold.

Squirtle is on IM. You must be thinking of Seed. He joined FXO.

Hmm I'm not sure what's going to happen, especially after the earlier groups. I think any combination of these 8 could get out to be honest. But the one thing I don't see happening is Parting/Squirtle and Rain/Bomber, advancing. All those players have had shaky results recently.
Parting used to be king of the world, and definitely king of pvp, so you'd think he'd like his chances in a 3-protoss group. But Parting barely wins 50% of his games these days and even lost 4 of his last 10 pvp's.
Squirtle is a player with real talent who tends to give way under pressure...not something you want to see in a bo1. Last code S he dropped out after winning just one game in five to some pretty subpar competition. There's no indication he's gotten any better recently.
Rain is a hot property who is the current holder of the OSL crown, but even in his own kingdom of PvProleague, the King has fallen on hard times recently, losing 5 of his last 7 games, including 3/4 pvp's. Not exactly the kind of momentum you want to ride into do-or-die bo1's.
And last Bomber, probably the least likely of these 4 to advance. In WoL, he was the king of tvp, winning a ridiculous 76% of his career matches in korea. TvZ on the other hand, has usually proven his downfall. So you'd think he'd be happy about having no zergs and 2 protosses in his group, but you'd be wrong. In HotS he's gone from riches to ruins, winning only 42% of his tvp's, and in fact, all but one of those wins came against Creator, a player who is freefalling so bad in hots he looked like he might have to be carried out of his booth on a stretcher after the latest addition to his endless losing streak.
I don't think there are any favourites here. If this was aligulac, the advance probabilites for both groups would probably look like:
GROUP G Parting 50% Squirtle 40% Supernova 40% Yonghwa 35%
GROUP H Rain 50% Hurricane 40% Keen 40% Bomber 40%
In other words, you'd be almost as well off rolling dice to predict the winners. My gut says Parting/Supernova and Rain/Hurricane.

Parting + Yonghwa
Rain + hurricane
yeah yeah that is right.,.

I'm loving the pessimism that surrounds all of the Bomber fans. Sadly I've been around long enough to be a part of them and hold no expectations of this loose cannon.
That being said I'm still hoping for more Terran blood in the ro16! Go bomba!

Come on Rain and Parting we need some Protoss.
Can't help but think there may be some underlying reasons why protoss are not doing as well as Z & T. Probably another small tweak like the W Prism speed is still needed.

KeeN has been doing extremely well lately, if he is ever going to have a break-out performance it should be this season. He's my pick for dark horse overperformer of the season.
Parting/Supernova
Rain/KeeN
