It feels like almost everyone has given up on watching the current mixed games format, at first the hype was there and opening day had a good number of viewers but it died down quickly as the novelty of them playing sc2 wore off. Now we're at the point where I don't feel motivated enough to run a thread in the sc2 section because barely anyone is watching and the threads would often be dead, even in the BW section they are mostly dead. We have even less foreign viewers than the previous BW only season, this really shouldn't be possible knowing the potential audience SC2 has, I guess the tournament is just not marketed towards a western audience well enough. We still don't have an official English stream when I remember it was promised to be coming but wouldn't be ready for opening day. The matches are still so-so but getting better, the sc2 only fans have so much content already It's hard to justify following this league for them I suppose. Again, thanks for the write-up, as someone who is still watching nearly every match in SPL I love having coverage. Oh, also, Sayle is a god damn hero for casting PL live almost every day. Even if he's mean to Bisu in his Fan Club If I speak for myself, the league went - as sad as it is - exactly as predicted: The SC2 games are god awful up to mediocre while the bw games are more or less mediocre for the most time with very little glimpses of the past. I just can't believe that there never will be great bw games in a month or so (and it's hardly unrealistic to hope for at least one last epic match in these days). //though I want to add a positive thing to my post: The write up is pretty well done and the Motive part brought a smile on my face.

Jaedong for one, he's struggling, but damn that guy is improving a lot. his first match he looked really lost and overwhelmed, but the dude keeps on going and it seems he's got a more-than-stellar attitude about it all. Flash is the monster I always heard he was and the dude might single-handidly prove the proverbial elephant to be a bit bigger than i thought. seeing him get so much better at SC2 and still be able to roll through BW games was a real treat. i really hope these guys can succeed and that proleague can get it's feet back under it. i absolutely love the format (not necessarily the BW then SC2 cause that seems like a bit of a struggle for everyone even though its been very educational for me) but thge idea of a team sending out one v one as opposed to a winner-stays-in first to five like the GSTL. i think ACE is one of the coolest teams in all of sports existence, i think Effort is a beast master. i can't understand a word the commentators say but i still love listening because they (seem to) manage to summon some kind of other-worldly passion about a game they probably don't even understand all that well and might have good reason to be annoyed with. all in all, i would choose to watch proleague over any other tournament except maybe the GSL. i love SC2, and have loved it since the first pro-match i ever saw and this first round of proleague made me realize that SC2 wouldn't even exist without the tireless dedication of everyone involved with professional BW. long live the proleague! god save the proleague!
