I do not follow GSL so closely, but I usually enjoy reading these previews and when the coming matches seem interesting, I say "I'd watch that" - only to have to look elsewhere to find out the time ... GSL is on the same time every night/day and Previews are written the day before/the morning of the match (depending where you are)
Oh, I did not notice that they are regularly one day ahead. That solves it for me thanks.

Ah well personally I think he will go 0-3 aganist Parting, as I have not seen anything in this GSL season that made me believe otherwise.
Look at the post right below yours. Should explain it all.
Anyways, on MVP's current condition: his wrists don't allow him to practice very much, don't allow him to continuously play for very long without experiencing pain, and he is about to go under - or is already in - physical therapy. He's essentially become the underdog due to his injury, and it seems like many people want to cheer for the underdog, especially one who has transformed from a dominant champion just a few months ago to one who wants to end games as fast as possible. In other words, I don't think people are cheering for MVP's current level of play so much as they are rooting for MVP the player.
After all, in a certain sense, that's what happened to Naniwa as well. Let's not pretend like Naniwa was displaying any scintillating play in the Ro32 or the Ro16 either. Sure, he was solid, but a large part of it was the 'foreigner hope' factor -- that was why so many rooted for him.
And, no, I think far more people cheered for the Celtics/Lakers/Bulls/Man U./Barca/Steelers/Yankees/etc. dynasties than whatever new challenger to the throne. Yes, people cheer for the underdog, but overall, dominance seems to be preferred over randomness.

3-0 Parting 3-1 Squirtle, even though I voted for HerO, hope he practiced and made superb plans for his PvP :\

FOR FUCK SAKE GO MVP FIGHTING!!!! Show the haters how to play starcraft and win 3-0! You will melt every terran heart if you do so.

Yeah why would we cheer for a person as amazing as Mvp? Some people...
|
can't everyone except MVP advance? :[

MVP, nuff said. Despite slumping hard, and it being his worst MU, he still have more wins and less losses vs toss than parting does vs terran.
|
I really hope MVP can do well...4th championship incoming!!!
|
Parting should crush Mvp. He'll lose a game due to some stupid 1 base collosus rush. Otherwise, he decimates Mvp.
Go go Hero! I for some reason keep on expecting Squirtle to fail... and he doesn't. The way you talked about his run... I almost want him to win it.
Almost.
Except PartinG is the best Toss in the world at the moment and he's going to crush through Mvp.

finally they're going to nerf protoss after this showing!

NEVER DOUBT A CHAMPION.
