The Tale of Mysterion
or Why You Need to Log In
or Why You Need to Log In
Once upon a time in a land far far away an article was made. Its name was Worker Rush. There wasn't much to it. Giving the advice on how to best perform this strategy, it read:

Even though Worker Rushes are a serious concern to many a Bronze lad, the article angered the LiquiGods. Their vengeful wrath descended on the luckless page, manifesting itself as a bulldozer icon, foretelling this modern Gomorrah of its imminent destruction.

A discussion page was created, outlining the article's only hope for salvation.
The Liquipedia is a wiki for /competitive/ gaming. As such we'd like to offer strategies that are actually good and help you improve. A worker rush doesn't belong there as it's pretty terrible. Also "just go a hope" isn't really advise at all. I do know that it occurs so if you want to rewrite the page as a how-to-deal-with or how-to-counter than feel free to. I'll give you a couple of days else I'm deleting this. --Pholon 10:04, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
Mere days remained, a cruelly short time after which certain doom would come to Worker Rush. Yet, this is not a tale of despair - it is one of redemption.
On the 11th day, the people of Liquipedia looked to the east and saw some guy who hadn't logged in on the horizon, who spoke the epic words that rang through the valleys beneath: I'll take a go at saving this. it's a terrible idea but notable I guess thanks to Dark Voice.

This is probably him
You see, among Liquipedia's goals are both to record and to educate. The minor historic event of people grinding through a 1000 wins by using the Worker Rush for that one ultimate portrait inspired our anonymous hero to take a second look at the article. As the build is inherently a bad one, Liquipedia would never recommend or teach it to people. However, since it does occur on the ladder still, our fondly nicked Mysterion took the time to explain why it is a terrible build and how to deal with it.
The problem with a worker rush is that if your opponent has built even one more worker, your attack force will surely be outnumbered.

This is it kids. You put yourself at a terrible disadvantage by doing this, plus you lose mining time as you make your way to his base. Your hopes are basically to throw your opponent off or that's he's really bad - and that's never a good mindset when you're trying to improve.
Still though, people seem to struggle with this. Fear no more bronze brethren! Mysterion provides...

These two key points, the Why and the How, are pivotal to a good, relevant article. We are proud of Mysterion, our anonymous contributor who stepped up and made the necessary changes: the bulldozer was removed and the article is there for all to see and improve. Check it out!
As to the hero of today's story: We don't know who he is! So remember guys, when making please login so everyone knows who to be thankful of (you can use your TeamLiquid ID and Password!).
As to improving - the article may not seem like much yet - the basics are there but there's so much room for extra bits of info. Remember the a wiki is open source - everyone can add to it. Be it a bit historic relevance or a piece of conducted e-science (shoutout to ultilol!): you too can add something that others can learn from!
In other news: We reached a thousand pages. That's 1000. Three zeros. Fuck yeah.
And we hereby would like to congratulate Blueblister and Salle on their promotions to editor! Good work guys, keep it up

Cya on the wiki,
