It's good, but it could have been soo much more. Best series of all time really depends on how you consider an anime series the best. If you want to consider all parts of a show, Full Metal Alchemist has no remorse when it comes to dealing with serious issues. The main characters aren't beta, in fact they are far from it. Not only does the anime get serious, but it has a lot of comedic moments that make it so worth while. Even the minor characters in the story are worth mentioning, they literally give the series life. Combine the awesome plot with some good music and a fast pace and you've got a recipe for an awesome series. The only other series I'd consider as best would be Deathnote and perhaps one or two others which have slipped my mind. Sorry for double post >.>. | ||

Lack of Nanoha on your list is a shame As far as mechas go Zeorymer was a awesome mech. It's pretty short Baldr Force is also mecha but it's a 4 ep OVA Lack of Gear Dendoh and Gaiking saddens me There's also Sword X Gun and to top of the Mecha series Super Robot War is awesome. but is more catered towards SRW Gamers. Macross Frontier is one of my favorites along with the Nanoha series dude, why no G Gundam? and Zoids Genesis, you'll love that. | ||

The most badass character of all time has to be Roy Mustang from the FMA series, or more specifically in Brotherhood. Not only does he outshine Edward Elric, the main character from this show but he literally is a boss. When Ed and Al couldn't even stop one bad guy, Roy waltzes in after nearly dying to this same bad guy and has to sealing his wounds with his flame, then proceeds to burn the shit out of said bad guy. He does this multiple times. It's like he doesn't even try the entire series until he avenges his friend. Just my thoughts. From the sound of it, you think Wing > Seed. That is so wrong it's not even funny. | ||

There is 12000 years between the first and the 2nd. So understanding what is going on and such won't be a problem. There are tie ins to the original. For instance, its suggested that many of the characters in EVOL are actually reincarnations of characters in the original. But that is about the extent of their relation, and EVOL is fine stand-alone imo. | ||
